India Food Price Index Rises

India's annual food price index increased to 17.47% as on November 21 from 15.58% growth as on week ended November 14, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry said on Thursday. The food price index was up 10.75% in the corresponding period of the previous year.

At the same time, the price index for primary article rose to 12.53% from 11.98% a year ago. The Petrol prices fell 11.86%.
