Advertisements for skilled jobs in Australia rose to a seven-and-a-half year high in November, according to a report Wednesday by the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations (DEWR).
The Department's index showed skilled vacancies increased 2.4 percent from their October levels to reach its highest level since May 2002.
Vacancies for professionals were up 1.1 percent, those for associate professionals were up 2.3 percent and openings in the trades rose 3.1 percent.
DEWR said openings for engineers rose 7.8 percent on month while those for social workers were up 3.0 percent.
