Manufacturing activity in Australia continued to expand in November, but at a slightly slower pace than in October.
The Performance of Manufacturing Index compiled by the Australian Industry Group and PricewaterhouseCoopers and released Tuesday registered a November reading of 51.2, down 0.5 point from October.
Readings above 50.0 indicate expansion of activity in the measured sector.
AIG CEO Heather Ridout said, in a statement, that the data shows "manufacturers remain cautious."
The Manufacturing sector's employment sub-index was up 1.0 point to 54.0 while new orders fell 5.8 points to 51.9.
