Total job advertisements in Australia climbed 5.2 percent in November compared to the previous month, according to a survey from ANZ Banking Group released on Monday, coming in at 140,658 ads.
That follows a 1.7 percent monthly decline in October to 133,709 ads.
Newspaper job ads surged 8.3 percent on month, while internet job ads were up 5 percent on month.
"The 8.3 per cent lift in newspaper job advertising in November is particularly encouraging, given that this sector tends to 'lead' overall job advertising trends," said ANZ Acting Chief Economist Warren Hogan. "Eventually the improvement in job advertising will translate into higher employment growth."
