Monday, the Central Bureau of Statistics of Croatia announced that the consumer price index or CPI rose 1.1% year-on-year in January, slower than the 1.9% growth in the previous month. A year earlier, the CPI inflation was 3.4%.
Food and non-alcoholic beverages prices dropped 2.6% on an annual basis in January, while clothing and footwear prices fell 4.8%. Transport charges were up 5.2%.
On a monthly basis, the CPI rose 0.5% in January, after falling 0.6% in December.
