South Korea's trade surplus stood at US$3.79 billion in October, down from US$4.7 billion in the previous month, the Ministry of Knowledge Economy said Sunday.
Exports fell 8.3% from a year earlier to US$34 billion, slower than a 11.8% drop expected by economists. Imports fell 16.3% to US$30.2 billion, quicker than a 16% fall anticipated by economists.
For the first ten months of the year, the trade surplus stood at US$34.58 billion.
