Japan's convenience store sales dropped for the second straight month in July after a series of gains in past several months.

Convenience store sales fell 7.5% year-on-year in July following a 2.3% decline in June, the Japan Franchise Association said Thursday. A year ago, sales were up 11.7% in July.
