Japan Domestic CGPI -8.5% On Year In July

The price index for domestic corporate goods in Japan fell 8.5 percent on year in July, the Bank of Japan said on Wednesday, marking the sharpest decline on record.

That was roughly in line with analyst expectations for an 8.7 percent annual contraction following the 6.6 percent decline on year in June.

On a monthly basis, CGPI was up 0.4 percent versus forecasts for a flat reading following the 0.3 percent decline in the previous month.
