Friday, the Statistics Iceland announced that the producer prices were flat in October, on a yearly basis, after rising 12.4% in the previous month. A year ago, in October, producer prices had surged 61.4%.
Producer prices for domestic sales rose 10.1% in October, on an annual basis, while prices for exported products fell 6.4%.
Month-on-month, producer prices increased 0.3% in October, slower than a 2.7% rise in the previous month. The producer prices have now risen for the past seven months, with the latest rise being the slowest in this seven months period.
