The U.S. Commerce Department revealed Tuesday that construction spending was basically flat in October, coming in at $910.77 billion, compared to $910.37 billion in September.
This followed a 1.6 percent decline in September and a 0.9 percent slide in August.
Residential construction, a key measure for the housing industry, advanced 4.2 percent in October after a 1.8 percent slide in September.
Private construction advanced by 0.3 percent in October, while government construction was down 0.4 percent.
In September, private construction was down 3.0 percent and public construction was up 0.9 percent.

Actually due to the increase in the housing industry the construction spending was flat in October.I think that the construction psending will increase in November as the Residential construction and the Private construction is showing some improvement.
