Portugal July Consumer Confidence Improves Further

Thursday, the Statistics Portugal announced that the consumer confidence stood at minus 39.3 in July, up from minus 43.5 in June. A year earlier, the confidence indicator was minus 40.3.

In July, manufacturing industrial confidence slightly increased to minus 29.4 from minus 31.4 in June. A year ago, the confidence was minus 8.8.

At the same time, the confidence indicator on services increased to minus 13.3 from minus 18.1 in June, while the trade confidence indicator rose to minus 14.1 from minus 14.8.

Meanwhile, the economic sentiment indicator stood at minus 1.6 in July, up from minus 2 in June.
