Estonian Industrial Output Continues To Fall In June

Industrial production in Estonia dropped a working day adjusted 30.1% in July, the Statistics Estonia said Friday. The report said the steep drop in production that began at the end of last year continued through June.

Industrial production has been declining around 30% since February this year, after it dropped 26% and 22% respectively in January and December, the statistical office noted.

In June, the working day adjusted manufacturing output dipped 32.5% on an annual basis, while mining output was down 20.1%. However, energy production climbed 12.6%.

On an unadjusted basis, industrial output slipped 28.2% annually in June.

Month-on-month, on a seasonally adjusted basis, industrial output fell 0.2%, reflecting a 18.5% drop in mining output and a 0.7% fall in manufacturing output. However, energy production rose 20.5%.
