New orders received by Swedish industries increased 1.1% month-on-month in December, following the upwardly revised 2.4% increase in the previous month, Statistics Sweden said on Wednesday.
This came despite a 2.4% fall in export orders. Industrial orders in the domestic market were up 0.4%.
On a yearly basis, new orders grew 8% in December, faster than the 1.5% increase in the preceding month. Orders in the domestic market increased 7.3%, while those in the export market were up 8.6%.
