Statistics Sweden said on Wednesday that the activity index, which broadly measures activity in the Swedish economy, climbed a seasonally adjusted 0.2% month-on-month in December, following the 0.8% increase in the previous month.
In trend terms, the activity index rose 0.1% in December, the same rate of increase as in preceding month.
The increase in the activity index was mainly due to an increasing trend in exports of goods, industrial production and retail trade turnover, the statistical agency said.
