Spain's gross domestic product decreased 0.1% quarter-on-quarter in the three months through December, data released by the National Statistics Institute showed on Thursday, exactly in line with analyst expectations. The economy had contracted 0.3% in the third quarter.
The Spanish economy has now contracted for seven straight quarters.
On a yearly basis, the GDP slumped 3.1%, roughly matching expectations after the 4% decrease in the preceding quarter.
