Monday, the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia announced that the economic sentiment indicator dropped to minus 14 in February from minus 13 in January. This was mainly due to decline in confidence indicator in services. Compared to the previous year, the sentiment indicator rose by 15 percentage points and was down 15 percentage points in the long-term average.
The confidence indicator in manufacturing stood at minus 8 in February, same as in the previous month. The indicator climbed by 26 percentage points on an annual basis and was down 6 percentage points in the long-term average.
The retail trade confidence indicator increased to minus 9 in February from minus 9 in January, while the confidence indicator in construction remained unchanged at minus 55. The services confidence indicator decreased to minus 6 from minus 2.
Meanwhile, the service confidence indicator stood at minus 24 in February, down from minus 26 in January.
