Slovenia Consumer Confidence Improves In February

Monday, the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia announced that the consumer confidence indicator stood at minus 24 in February, up from minus 26 in the previous month. Compared to the previous year, indicator rose 14 percentage points and was up 6 percentage points in the last year average.

The consumer confidence increase in February was mainly due to more optimistic estimations of the consumers possibility of saving any money over the next 12 months, the statistical office said.

Among all indicators, the general economic situation in the country over the past 12 months, increased in February.

Separately, the statistical office said, the economic sentiment indicator dropped to minus 14 in February from minus 13 in January, while the confidence indicator in manufacturing stood stable at minus 8.
