Wednesday, the Statistics Norway announced that the producer price index or PPI rose 13.8% year-on-year in January, faster than the 10% growth in the previous month.
On a monthly basis, the PPI increased 3.9% in January, compared to the 0.4% fall in the preceding month. This was mainly due to rise in prices of natural gas, oil and metals in the export market.
Meanwhile, the PPI, extraction of oil and natural gas climbed 13.8% annually in January and was up 3.9% compared to the previous month.
