Wednesday, Ireland's Central Statistics Office announced that the industrial production dropped 5.6% year-on-year in December, compared to the 9.9% fall in the previous month. A year ago, industrial output was down 11.9%.
On a monthly basis, industrial output declined a seasonally adjusted 4.2% in December, after falling 8.5% in November.
Manufacturing output decreased 5.5% annually in December, slower than the 9.6% fall in the preceding month.Manufacturing output slipped 4.8% compared to the previous month.
Meanwhile, industrial turnover decreased 18.5% year-on-year in December and was down 4% compared to the preceding month.
