Finland's manufacturing turnover declined sharply by 21.8% in September to November from the previous year, the Statistics Finland reported Monday. The decline in domestic sales was 18.7%, while export turnover slipped 23.7%. During three months ended October, manufacturing turnover had slipped 23.5%.
According to Statistics Finland, turnover contracted in all manufacturing industries in the September to November. The food industry reported the smallest decrease of 3.9%. The declines were steepest in the electronic and electrical industry and in the metal industry.
