Czech Overnight Stays Decline In Q4

Wednesday, the Czech Statistical Office announced that the total number of overnight stays at collective accommodation establishments decreased 7.4% year-on-year to 6.76 million in the fourth quarter, compared to the 14.05 million in the previous quarter.

Meanwhile, overnight stays by non-residents declined 6.9% and overnight stays for domestic guests fell 8.1%.

The total number of tourist arrivals decreased 6% on an annual basis in the fourth quarter.

For the whole year 2009, the number of overnight stays slipped 6% from the previous year and the number of guests fell 5.7%.
