Cyprus HICP Inflation Rises In January

Friday, the Statistical Service of the Republic of Cyprus announced that the harmonized index of consumer prices or HICP rose 2.5% year-on-year in January, faster than the 1.6% growth in the previous month. A year ago, the HICP inflation was 0.9%.

Food and non-alcoholic beverages prices dropped 5.5% on an annual basis in January, while clothing and footwear prices rose 2.2%. Transport charges were up 6.8%.
