Bulgaria's National Statistical Institute said the average monthly wages and salaries increased 3.9% in the fourth quarter from the third quarter. The largest increase in wages and salaries was reported in mining and quarrying, followed by financial and insurance activities.
Average monthly wages and salaries recorded an annual growth of 10.6% in the fourth quarter, which was mainly driven by real estate and construction activity. At the same time, wages and salaries declined in public administration and defence.
