Monday, the Bank of England said in a final report that the M4 money supply increased 10.8% year-on-year in October, revised from a 11% growth reported initially. In September, the M4 money supply was up 11.6%.
On a monthly basis, the M4 money supply grew 1.6% in October, faster than the 0.9% growth in the preceding month. The M4 money supply growth was revised from 1.8% increase estimated initially.
Meanwhile, the M4 lending, excluding the effects of securitisations etc. increased 6.8% on an annual basis in October, unrevised from the preliminary report. It was up 1% from the previous month.
