Japan will announce capital spending numbers for the third quarter of 2009 on Thursday, headlining a light day for Asian economic news.
Analysts are forecasting a 16 percent contraction following the 21.7 percent decline in the previous three months. Excluding software, capital spending is tipped to retreat 17.6 percent after the 22.2 percent contraction in the second quarter.
Also, the Bank of Japan will provide October data on corporate loans and discount, which came in higher by 2.3 percent on year in the previous month.
Finally, the Indonesian central bank is scheduled to announce its decision on interest rates on Thursday. Analysts widely expect the bank to keep rates on hold at the current 6.5 percent.
