Italy Producer Prices Decline In October

Monday, Italy's statistical office Istat announced that the total producer price index or PPI dropped 5.3% year-on-year in October, compared to the 6.9% fall in the previous month. Economists' expected a decline of 6.2%.

On a monthly basis, the PPI remained unchanged in October, after falling 0.3% in September. Economists were looking for a decrease of 0.1%.

The Producer prices for domestic market fell 6.1% on an annual basis in October, and remained unchanged compared to the preceding month. Similarly, the PPI for non-domestic market dropped 2.9% annually and flat on month.
