Consumer prices in Germany grew 0.3% year-on-year in November after staying flat in October, a preliminary report from the Federal Statistical Office showed on Thursday. Economists had expected a 0.5% increase.
On a monthly basis, consumer prices dropped 0.2% in November, while economists expected prices to remain flat.
The harmonized index of consumer prices climbed 0.4% annually in November, rebounding from the 0.1% decrease in the prior month, and roughly in line with expectations for a 0.5% increase. Compared with the previous month, harmonized consumer prices edged down 0.1%.
