Finland's manufacturing confidence decreased in November, due to an increase in the stock of goods, the Confederation of Finnish Industries EK said Friday. The confidence index dropped to minus 19 from minus 15 in October. The long-term average stood at 2.
Within the manufacturing sector, order books continued to recover, but remained weak. Moreover, production is expected to decline. Stocks of final goods increased, but remained below average.
At the same, the confidence indicators in the construction, services and retail trade sectors improved. The construction confidence indicator rose by two points to minus 28, while the confidence indicator in the service sector increased to minus 18 from a revised minus 22. The retail trade confidence improved by 2 points to minus 10.
