Tuesday, the Statistics Finland announced that the retail sales dropped 1.8% year-on-year in October, compared to the 2% fall in the previous month. Sales volume was down 1.8%.
In October, wholesale sales decreased 20.7% on an annual basis, after falling 21.6% in September. Motor vehicle sales decline eased to 26.7% from 32.8% in September.
For the January to October period, retail sales declined 2.4% compared to the same period of the previous year. During the period, wholesale sales fell 20.2%.
Meanwhile, total trade slipped 16.7% year-on-year in October, slower than the 17.8% decline in the previous month.
