Tuesday, the Netherlands Central Bureau of Statistics announced that the retail sales dropped 4.3% year-on-year in October, slower than the 5.2% decline in September, revised from 5.4% fall estimated initially. Economists were looking for a decline of 4%.
In October, total retail sales volume fell 4.3% on annual basis, after falling a revised 4.3% in September. Food and beverage stores sales slipped 0.2%, in contrast to a revised 0.9% growth in the previous month.
