Thursday, Netherlands' Central Bureau of Statistics announced that the consumer price index or CPI rose 1% year-on-year in November, faster than the 0.7% growth in the previous month. Economists expected an increase of 0.9%. A year earlier, the CPI was up 2.3%.
On a monthly basis, the CPI dropped 0.1% in November, in contrast to a 0.1% growth in the preceding month. Economists were looking for a decline of 0.2%.
Meanwhile, the harmonized index of consumer prices or HICP rose 0.7% year-on-year in November, faster than the 0.4% increase in October.
