Friday, the Czech Statistical Office announced that the average gross monthly nominal wage per employee FTE in the entire national economy increased 4.8% year-on-year in the third quarter, compared to the 2.8% growth in the previous quarter.
The real wage per employee increased 4.7% on an annual basis in the third quarter. The growth was mainly due to structural impacts and dismissal of employees with lower wages and drop of the sickness rate, the statistical office said.
At the same time, the nominal average wage, excluding businesses employing up to 20 employees increased 4.1%.
Sequentially, the average gross monthly nominal wage grew a seasonally adjusted 1.5% in the third quarter.
