Manufacturing activity in China remained solid in November, a survey by the Federation of Logistics and Purchasing showed on Tuesday.
The purchasing managers' index was unchanged at 55.2 in November compared to expectations for a reading of 55.7. A reading above 50 indicates expansion, while on below 50 suggests contraction. This was the ninth successive month in which the index was above the no-change level of 50.
The output index edged up to 59.4 in November from 59.3 in October, while the new orders index eased to 58.4 from 58.5 and the new export orders index fell to 53.6 from 54.5. Further, the index measuring employment levels in the manufacturing sector dipped to 51.1 from 52.4.
