Thursday, the Federal Customs Administration said Switzerland's trade surplus increased to CHF 2.35 billion in July from CHF 1.5 billion in June.
In real terms, exports slipped 15.1% in July from the previous year and imports dropped 14%. Month-on-month, exports grew 4.1% in July, while imports declined 1.7%.
During January to July, exports totaled CHF 105.19 billion and imports stood at CHF 93.92 billion, resulting in a surplus of CHF 11.27 billion.
