Romania recorded a trade deficit of EUR668.3 million in June, smaller than a deficit of EUR2.1 billion in the same month last year, the National Institute of Statistics said Monday.
Exports dropped 17.5% year-on-year to EUR2.5 billion, while imports fell 38% to EUR3.2 billion.
Compared with the previous month, exports rose 11.2%, while imports were up 6.3%.
In the first six months of the year, the trade deficit stood at EUR4.3 billion. Exports fell 20.3%, and imports were down 36.6% compared to the corresponding period last year.
