Thursday, a report by New Zealand's Reserve Bank said the M3 Money supply rose 2.7% year-on-year in June, much slower than a 5.6% growth in the preceding month.
On a monthly basis, the M3 money supply was down 0.9% in June compared to a 1.2% fall in the preceding month. This was the second consecutive month of decline.
Meanwhile, the M2 money supply climbed 4.4% year-on-year in June, but was down 1.8% compared to the previous month. The M1 money supply fell 2.6% from last year, and slipped 1.1% from May.
