Monday, the Central Statistical Bureau of Latvia announced that the consumer price index or CPI rose 2.5% year-over-year in July, slower than the 3.4% growth in the previous month.
Food prices dropped 2.7% annually in July, while clothing and footwear prices declined 2.8%. Transport charges were down 6.7%.
On a monthly basis, the CPI declined 0.6% in July, after falling 0.5% in June.
