Finland Manufacturing New Orders Continue To Drop In June

Friday, a report by Statistics Finland said new orders in the manufacturing sector dropped 34.5% year-on-year in June, slower than a 39.5% fall in the preceding month. New orders declined for the 11th consecutive month in June.

The steepest decline was recorded in the metal industry, by 41.1%. This was followed by a 24.7% drop in orders in the chemical industry and a 16.5% fall in that in paper and paper products.

In the first six months of the year, manufacturing new orders declined 37.8% from the same period last year.
