Turkey posted a current account surplus of US$ 127 million in August, narrowing from a surplus of US$ 220 million in July, the central bank said Monday.
The goods and services surplus decreased to US$ 504 million from US$ 577 million in July, while the income account deficit widened to US$ 521 million from US$ 476 million.
At the same time, the services account surplus increased to US$ 3.9 billion from US$ 2.8 billion, and the current transfers surplus rose to US$ 144 million from US$ 119 million.
Meanwhile, the capital and financial account showed a surplus of US$ 995 million, up from US$ 623 million in the previous month.
