Sweden Retail Sales Growth Eases In June

Tuesday, the Statistics Sweden said in a report that the retail sales rose 2.2% year-over-year in June, slower than a 4.3% rise in the previous month. Economists expected an increase of 2%.

Month-on-month, retail sales were down a seasonally adjusted 0.4% in June, compared with a flat reading in May. Economists expected sales to fall 0.3%.

In the three months ended June, retail sales grew 3.6% compared to a 2.6% rise in the preceding three-month period.
