Sweden July Jobless Rate At 7.9%

Thursday, the Statistics Sweden said in a report that the jobless rate stood at 7.9% in July, up from 5.8% seen in a year ago. Economists were looking for the rate of 8.2%.

Meanwhile, the employment rate decreased by 2.9 percentage points to 66.8% in July.

The number of unemployed persons were totaled 398,000 in July, an increase of 103,000 persons compared to the previous year.
