Thursday, Statistics Sweden said in a report that the activity index, which measures activity in the Swedish economy, increased a seasonally adjusted 0.27% month-on-month in August, compared to the 0.05% fall in the previous month.
In trend terms, activity index fell 2.33% year-on-year in August, after falling 2.36% in July. The decrease in the annual rate activity index was mainly due to a fall in exports of goods and industrial production, the statistical office said.
