South Korea is scheduled to release third quarter numbers for gross domestic product on Friday, headlining a light day for Asian economic news. GDP is forecast to climb 1.9 percent on quarter following the 2.6 percent expansion in the previous three months. On an annual basis, GDP is expected to ease 0.3 percent after the 2.2 percent annual contraction in the second quarter.
Singapore will provide consumer price index data for September, with analysts expecting inflation to ease 0.2 percent on year after declining an annual 0.3 percent in August.
Taiwan will announce September figures for export orders and industrial output. Export orders are seen lower by 6 percent on year following the annual 11.96 percent decline in August. Output is predicted to fall an annual 4.9 percent after shedding 9.26 percent on year in the previous month.
Finally, the Stock Exchange of Thailand will be closed on Friday in honor of the King Chulalongkorn Memorial Day. It will re-open on Monday.
