Slovak August HICP Inflation At Record Low

Wednesday, the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic announced that the harmonized index of consumer prices or HICP rose 0.5% year-on-year in August, slower than the 0.6% growth in the previous month. This was the lowest value in the history of annual inflation measured by HICP.

On a monthly basis, the HICP decreased 0.2% in August, compared to the 0.1% fall in the previous month.
