Romania Consumer Price Inflation Eases In July

Monday, Romania's National Institute of Statistics said that the consumer price index or CPI rose 5.06% year-over-year in July, slower than the 5.86% in June.

Food prices climbed 3.69% annually in July, while non-food goods prices rose 4.48%. Service prices were up 9.41%.

On a monthly basis, the CPI dropped 0.7% in July, compared with a 2% rise in the previous month.

For the first seven months of the year, consumer prices increased 0.4% compared to the corresponding period last year.
