Tuesday, the Statistics Portugal announced that the producer price index or PPI decreased 5.2% year-on-year in September, compared to the 5.5% fall in the previous month.
On a monthly basis, the PPI dropped 0.3% in September, compared to a 0.6% decline a year ago.
In the third quarter, producer prices were down 5.8% annually, after falling 4.8% in the second quarter.
Meanwhile, the manufacturing Industry prices decreased 7.2% on an annual basis in September, compared to the 7.5% fall in August.
