Poland's industrial production dropped 1.3% year-on-year in September, in contrast to the 0.1% growth in the previous month, the Central Statistical Office said on Monday. The industrial output in August was revised from 0.2% fall estimated initially. Economists expected a decline of 2.4%.
Manufacturing production decreased 1% on an annual basis in September, while mining and quarrying production fell 10.2%. Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply were down 0.7%.
On a monthly basis, industrial production increased 15% in September, after falling a revised 4.4% in August.
For the January to September period, industrial production dropped 6% compared to the same period of the previous year.
