Monday, Poland's Central Statistical Office announced that the producer price index or PPI increased 1.6% year-on-year in September, slower than the 2.2% growth in August, revised from 2.5% increase reported initially. Economists were looking for an increase of 2.2%.
On a monthly basis, the PPI decreased 0.2% in September, after falling a revised 0.4% in August.
For the January to September period, producer prices increased 3.8% compared to the same period of the previous year.
