Moldova Exports Decline In June

Thursday, Moldova's National Bureau of Statistics announced that the exports dropped 16.2% year-over-year to US$ 107.7 million in June. On a monthly basis, exports rose 7%.

Meanwhile, imports dipped 41.4% annually to US$ 259.7 million in June, and it was up 6.9% compared to the preceding month.

For the January to June period, exports decreased 20.7% year-on-year to US$ 580.8 million , while, imports declined 35.8% to US$ 1.49 billion.

During the period, trade deficit amounted to US$ 917 million , narrowing from US$ 1.60 billion in a year ago.
