Malta July HICP Inflation Slows

Friday, Malta's National Statistics Office announced that the harmonized index of consumer prices or HICP rose 0.8% year-over-year in July, slower than the 2.8% growth in the previous month. A year earlier, the HICP was up 5.6%.

On a monthly basis, the HICP dropped 0.1% in July, unchanged from the previous month.

In July, the twelve-month moving average rate of inflation stood at 3.9%, down from 4.3% increase in the previous month.
